The biggest drawback of modern day surveillance systems is that it’s extremely difficult to separate our primary target from the rest of the background. This leads to complications when a possible suspect needs to be identified (from the surveillance footage). What the proposed system does is use thermal radiation information to separate our target on basis of heat signature (using infrared images) and detailed texture information from visible images to create a more clarified image. The basic schemes used for this are compressive sensing principle, noise reduction using dynamic fusion and sharpness scheme.
