Bahria Innovation Center, Islamabad Campus in Collaboration with Community support Program is running a program called Pehchan focused on Women Engagement and Economic Empowerment through Entrepreneurship. Pehchan Program aims to promote women engagement and economic empowerment through entrepreneurship. The program has been designed by Ms. Sabeena Abbasi (visiting Faculty MS Department, BUIC) and executed with the immense support of Bahria Innovation Center and Community Support Program of Bahria University Islamabad. The program kicked off on 20th February, 2019 and around 10 CSP club students have been volunteering in the program. Mr. Ali Qasim from BIC Bahria University Islamabad has been leading the training and mentorship sessions at Kalinjar Village, Sector E-8, Islamabad. The beneficiaries by the end of the program will be able to set up sustainable businesses in their respective communities. It’s a specialized program to support, train, equip and mentor entrepreneurs at in their communities and to encourage women participation in the innovation sector for economic growth and development at micro and macro levels in the country.
