Well log curve records the physical, electrical or other properties of the rock/ fluid mixtures penetrated by drilling a borehole into the subsurface. These logs are then converted into raster images which are further digitized for geological interpretation. Researchers are developing advanced petrophysical analysis and interpretation framework which aids geo scientists and petroleum engineers in efficiently finding highly probable hydrocarbon formations. The proposed framework first extracts the petrophysical parameters and utilizes the extracted information for an in-depth analysis and 3D visualization of subsurface geology for oil and gas exploration.
